"Galerie Blickensdorff is showing drawings, holograms, sculpture and a video work.
“Sleep No More” (2004) consists of 11 holograms of 41 x 41 cm. They depict fragments
of the artist’s face and body in various positions, along with a figure in a smaller scale
climbing a metal ladder. The work evokes associations of transcendence, the holographic
technique further interlocking the visual space and enmeshing the portrayal of the body with
the idea of the inanimate.
In the video “Lady Macbeth” (2003), fragmentary body sequences also awaken associations
of disintegration and potential renewal. The exhibition features the sculptural work entitled
“Only Silence Remains”, consisting of faceless figures in real clothes sitting back to back,
separated by a mirror: the embodiment of a silent dialogue."
